1. What did you think was most difficult about the course? The most difficult thing about this course was remembering when classes were going to meet and also collaborating with my team.

2. What do you think was easiest? The easiest part of this course were the online tests.

3. What did you learn about working in teams with peers? I learned, honestly, that I am better off working on my own or with a trusted friend…working with someone you hardly know makes it easier to get let down.

4. What was most challenging about working with peers at a distance? The most challenging was keeping up with the work…it’s easy to lose focus when your not constantly being hasseled.

5. What was helpful about working with a team? Nothing.

6. What was most challenging about working for a client? The most challenging was that these clients were not real and we never got to really collaborate with the client…

7. What did you learn about communication using technology tools? I learned that although helpful, the best form of communication is verbal.

8. What were your favorite technolgy tools to use? Least favorite? Why? I liked using powerpoint because it seems to be the most active and lively of the tools and i didn’t like the last project because brave net wasnt as easy as i anticipated.

9. What do you feel you learned in this course about solving problems? All the answers you need can be found online.

10. What would you do differenly if you could take the course again? I would probably start the projects a little earlier so that i dont make a stressfull situation out of it.

The application I use most on my computer is Windows Movie Maker. I am a radio tv film student so I like to get practice on little projects here and there. Right now i would much rather be sleeping; it’s been a long week and I am exhausted.

I use Open Offices version of power point and i will admit that I prefer the Microsoft version. The latest version has a lot more option and is a lot more user friendly. Also, with open office i sometimes have trouble opening Microsoft.

Good vs. Bad (Blog 10)

Here is an example of a bad powerpoint. First off it is way too long and looking at each slide…it could be condensed had it not been for the overload of information. ALso the presentation does not have a specific goal or message…its a collage of mess.

Here is an example of a good powerpoint presentation. It has one theme and is continuous. It looks well because it uses the same layout for each slide. It puts enough information on the slide so that a person reading it can see what it is about but it does not have excessive information.

As of now the semester has been quite easy only because the programs we use I am familiar with. What has gone well is the conveniece of an online class. This class has made it quite simple to attend (hahahaha). What is problematic is the inconvenience of an online class. Sometimes it becomes real easy to forget about deadlines and projects when a teacher is not reminding you constantly. Also without constant peer interaction its easy to lose focus all the while feel like you are ahead of the game. The rest of this semester i hope to pick up a few good habts and stop procrastination. I need to discover prioritizing!

The past couple of weeks have been pretty easy. My teammate and I both are familiar with the software used in this class which makes it for an easy assignment. The team work is lacking just a bit but we still pull through to get things turned in on the due date and time. I would like to brainstorn for tasks once we received them, however, it has not turned out that way and i dont really expect them to.

Up until now the most important tool I have used has to be the almighty world wide web. All questions are answered through this one source which is made easier by the day.

Ray’s task was handled pretty much the same way as the rest of the others. To be honest, procrastination is both of our strong points. We collaborated a little bit about the task but didn’t not get down to work until a couple of days before its due date. Both my teammate and I took turns with trial and error but was successful with a final solution. Overall this task was a breeze…

This week, I would like you to think about the role of computers in your life as a student. How has it changed things for the better? The worse? What would you like to see change with learning using technology? How can you learn better with technology?

Computers have been a part of my life as a student for as long as i can remember. I think i would be lost if there was no computer available…the interent is the most relevant and convenient source of information. I do think that utilizing a computer can get a little side-tracking when focusing on one specific goal but that goes along with an individuals priorities and where they lie. I think it would be more fun to learn more programs that arent for document purposes….like video editing programs and such…but i know that isn’t through this class…also i think it would be good to learn a program that can be used for web design…

I think this task was a lot easier. My teammate and I realized that we needed eachother to make it through this task. We met up and brainstormed. Because there are only two people in our group we didn’t really justify who was who…we worked together and came up with some efficient stuff. We were both really familiar with word processors so this task was quite easy. I think out solution will be impressive to the Arbiter and helpfull to Leto.

It’s important to communicate with every aspect of a project to make sure that everyone is satisfied.

We havent received any feedback for our first task which may imply that nobody was really enthused about it. I didn’t like the way this task was planned out and initiated…i think there could have been more effort from both of us. Hopefully next task will bring us together as a group instead of two individuals…
